Day – 1: Yangon
Meet with our guide on arrival at Yangon International
Airport and transfer to the hotel. Today's sightseeing tour
includes the old colonial style city center, the gilded Sule
Pagoda, dating back over 2,000 years and Bogyoke (Scott’s)
Market (closed on Public Holidays & Mondays). Then proceed
to Chauk Htat Gyi, a huge reclining Buddha image, followed
by a photo stop at Karaweik Hall royal floating barge. An
extended visit to the Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the world’s most
spectacular religious monuments will conclude the tour of
this picturesque Garden City. The golden dome of the
Shwedagon
Pagoda rises 98 meters above its base and is covered with 60

Day – 2: Yangon - Kyaikhtiyo (Car)
Breakfast at
the hotel. After breakfast drive to Bago (84 km
– approximately 2 hours). En route, visit the Allied War
Graves cemetery near Htauk Kyan, a tree shrine dedicated to
the
legendary animist spirits known as "Nats". Then
continue to
Kin Pun "base camp" (110 km - approximately 3? hours) and
onward to Kyaiktiyo (the "Golden Rock"), a huge boulder
completely covered by gold leaves and delicately balanced on
the edge of a cliff. From Kin Pun take a local truck up a
bumpy track (45 minutes drive) to arrive to Yathaytaung. From
Yathaytaung travelers must walk the final stage (about 4
kilometers – 45 minutes) up steep paths, which ascend some
500 meters to the Golden Rock. On arrival, watch the beauty
of a sunset at this important pilgrimage site. Accommodation

Day – 3: Kyaikhtiyo - Hpa-An - Mawlamyine (Car)
Breakfast at
the hotel. After breakfast visit the rest of
places on the hill, and then walk down to Yathedaung and
down-ride to the base camp, after that drive to Hpa-An,
capital of the Kayin State. You will proceed to visit the Bayin Nyi Cave
and the Kawgun cave which are situated two miles away from
the township of Hpa an. distance from Hpa An township. It is a natural lime
Stone cave with rare
Buddha images that can be dated up to the it can be datable
to 15th century A.D. You then continue to Mawlamyine. Accommodation at
the hotel, in Mawlamyine.
Day – 4: Mawlamyine (Car)
Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast you will visit
the local market; the Kyai market, the Kyaik-thanlan pagoda,
which was erected in 875 A.D, a hair relic of the Buddha,
the Tripitaka manuscripts , the gold images of the Buddha
that were enshrined in the pagoda, the U Zina Pagoda which
legend says it was first built in the 3rd century B.C and
the Gaung Say island. Accommodation at the Hotel, in
Mawlamyine.
Day – 5: Mawlamyine - Thanbyuzayat - Mawlamyine (Car)
Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast you will visit
Thanbyu zayat, which is situated 30 km south of Mawlamyine. You will see
the Thanbyuzayat War Cemetery, which contains 3,771 graves of
Allied prisoners of war who died building the death railway.
And then you will proceed to the Kyaikkami Yele Pagoda where
the shrine chamber beneath Yele Pagoda reportedly contains a Buddha
image that supposedly floated there on a raft from Sri Lanka
in ancient times. After that continue to Sets Beach, one of
the noted beaches in Myanmar. It is a very wide, brown-sand
beach. Then back to Mawlamyine. Accommodation at the hotel, in Mawlamyine.
Day – 6: Mawlamyine - Bago - Yangon (Car)
Breakfast at
the hotel. Very early in the morning, drive back to Yangon.
On the way, you will see Shwemadaw pagoda which is over 1000 years old and whose spire is even taller than the
one from Shwegagon pagoda, the 55 meter long reclining Shwethalyaung Buddha image and Bago Market. Then proceed to
Yangon. Accommodation at the hotel, in Yangon.
Day – 7: Yangon Departure
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Yangon International
Airport for your departure flight.
